Walla Walla Regional Airport — Walla Walla, United States

Walla Walla Regional Airport, in southeastern Washington state, operates a lone runway at 1,194 feet above sea level in a wine-growing valley near the Oregon border, well away from Washington's larger coastal cities. Walla Walla has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest's notable wine regions, drawing visitors who might otherwise need to drive several hours from Seattle or Portland to reach the valley by car instead. Local agriculture and a growing wine tourism trade both depend on the direct connection point this modestly sized field provides for the surrounding valley.
