Kayseri Erkilet International Airport — Kayseri, Turkey

Kayseri Erkilet International Airport serves Kayseri, a major industrial city in Turkey's Central Anatolia region at the foot of the dormant volcano Mount Erciyes. Elevation at the field reaches 3,463 feet, where a single strip accommodates both domestic and international jet traffic, including seasonal charter flights tied to the nearby Erciyes ski resort. Like several airports in Turkey, Erkilet shares its site with a military presence, a common arrangement across the country's provincial aviation infrastructure. Kayseri itself has a long commercial history as a manufacturing and trade center, and the airport reflects that role by supporting business travelers alongside tourists heading to Cappadocia, which lies within reasonable driving distance. Turkish flag carriers and low-cost domestic airlines maintain regular service linking Kayseri to Istanbul and Ankara, while European charter operators bring skiers and seasonal visitors during winter months. Despite handling substantial passenger volume for a single-runway facility, Kayseri Erkilet International Airport remains primarily a regional hub rather than an international transfer point.
