Araguaína Airport — Araguaína, Brazil

Araguaína Airport serves the city of Araguaína in the Brazilian state of Tocantins, located in the country's north-central interior. Elevation at the field is 771 feet, and one runway there supports regional flights toward Brasília, Goiânia, and other cities across central Brazil. As Tocantins' second-largest city, Araguaína relies on the airport for business travel tied to cattle ranching and agriculture, industries that dominate the local economy. Weekly rather than daily departures make up the schedule, operated by carriers serving Brazil's interior. The airport's modest scale mirrors that of many regional gateways serving Brazil's rapidly developing interior states away from the more heavily trafficked coast.
