Caye Chapel Airport — Caye Chapel, Belize

Caye Chapel Airport, or CYC, occupies a small privately held island within Belize's barrier reef system, positioned between the more popular destinations of Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye. Developers have periodically pursued upscale resort and golf course projects on the cay over the years, and the airstrip exists chiefly to ferry guests, staff, and supplies to whatever venture currently occupies the island rather than to serve any permanent local population. Its short runway suits small charter aircraft and seaplanes typical of Belize's cay-hopping travel network, making CYC less a public transportation node than a private gateway tied to the island's resort ambitions.
