Žilina-Dolný Hričov Airport — Dolný Hričov, Slovakia

ILZ designates Žilina Airport, situated in Dolný Hričov near the northern Slovak city of Žilina, an industrial and transport hub in the Váh River valley. The airport has historically seen limited scheduled passenger service, with activity fluctuating between charter flights, general aviation, flight training, and occasional attempts at regular airline routes to destinations like Prague. Its runway can accommodate regional jets, but Žilina competes with nearby Košice and Bratislava for air traffic in a country where rail and road links are often preferred for domestic travel. ILZ also hosts aviation clubs and skydiving activity, giving it a role beyond commercial flights as a center for recreational and training aviation in the Žilina region.
