Port Harcourt City Airport / Port Harcourt Air Force Base — Port Harcourt, Nigeria

PHG refers to Port Harcourt City Airport, which shares its site with the Port Harcourt Air Force Base in Rivers State, Nigeria. This dual-use facility distinguishes it from the larger Port Harcourt International Airport (PHC) located outside the city; PHG instead sits closer to downtown Port Harcourt and primarily handles domestic commercial flights alongside Nigerian Air Force operations. The airport's civilian side supports business travel connected to Nigeria's oil and gas industry centered in the Niger Delta region, while its military component reflects the strategic importance of Port Harcourt as a regional center. Passengers should note PHG's shorter runway limits it to smaller aircraft compared to its international counterpart.
