Panevėžys Air Base — Panevėžys, Lithuania

Panevėžys Air Base (PNV) is a military airfield located near Panevėžys, the fifth-largest city in Lithuania, situated in the north-central part of the country. Historically used by Soviet and later Lithuanian military aviation units, PNV has served defense and training purposes rather than civilian commercial traffic. The base reflects Lithuania's Cold War-era air infrastructure, much of which was repurposed or scaled back following the country's independence and subsequent NATO membership. PNV occasionally supports limited general aviation or emergency use, but it is not configured for scheduled passenger airline operations, distinguishing it from Lithuania's main civilian airports in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga.
