Orenburg Central Airport — Orenburg, Russia

Orenburg Central Airport serves the city of Orenburg in Russia, located near the border between Europe and Asia in the southern Ural region. REN handles domestic flights to major Russian cities including Moscow and St. Petersburg, and it has historically also supported some international connections to Central Asia given Orenburg's proximity to Kazakhstan. The airport serves as a regional hub for the surrounding steppe territory, supporting both passenger and limited cargo operations. Orenburg itself has a notable aviation history, having hosted a Soviet-era military flight school, and the civil airport reflects the broader Soviet-period development of regional air infrastructure across the Urals and Volga region.
