Tobolsk Remezov Airport — Tobolsk, Russia

Tobolsk Remezov Airport, coded RMZ, serves Tobolsk, a historic city in Russia's Tyumen Oblast known as a former capital of Siberia and home to a well-preserved kremlin fortress. The airport is named after Semyon Remezov, a notable Siberian cartographer and architect associated with the city's history. RMZ primarily handles domestic flights connecting Tobolsk to regional centers, supporting both tourism tied to the city's historical sites and industrial traffic linked to nearby petrochemical facilities. As with many airports in the Tyumen region, RMZ plays an important role given Siberia's vast distances and limited road infrastructure, making air travel a practical necessity for residents and workers in the area.
