Pres. Gral. Óscar D. Gestido Binational Airport — Rivera/Santana do Livramento, Uruguay

Presidente General Óscar D. Gestido Binational Airport serves Rivera, a Uruguayan city that sits directly on the border with Santana do Livramento, Brazil, forming one of South America's most unusual twin-city border zones. RVY reflects this binational character, serving travelers from both countries with domestic Uruguayan flights connecting Rivera to Montevideo. The airport's location underscores the deeply intertwined economies and daily cross-border life of the two cities, where streets and markets blend almost seamlessly. RVY provides an important air link for a region otherwise reliant on long overland journeys to reach Uruguay's capital or Brazil's southern cities.
