Solenzara (BA 126) Air Base — Solenzara, France

Solenzara, formally Base Aerienne 126, is a French Air Force base located on the eastern coast of Corsica, France. SOZ functions as active military infrastructure rather than a civilian airport, historically supporting fighter squadrons and serving as a training and deployment site for French air operations in the Mediterranean region. The base has periodically hosted NATO exercises and allied aircraft rotations given its strategic coastal position. Civilian access to Solenzara is restricted, and any passenger or cargo movement through the facility is tied to military logistics rather than commercial aviation. The base remains a notable fixture of French defense infrastructure on the island of Corsica.
