Tengah Air Base — Western Water Catchment, Singapore

Tengah Air Base is a military installation operated by the Republic of Singapore Air Force, located in western Singapore. TGA is not a civilian airport and does not accommodate scheduled commercial passenger flights; rather, it functions as a key base supporting fighter squadrons, training operations, and national defense missions. The base has a long history dating back to British colonial military use before Singapore's independence, later transitioning into a cornerstone of the country's air defense infrastructure. Tengah's runway and facilities are periodically upgraded to support modern aircraft and joint exercises with allied air forces. As part of a broader urban redevelopment plan, portions of the surrounding Tengah area have been designated for a new residential town, though the air base itself continues its defense role.
