Takoradi Airport — Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana

Takoradi Airport, identified by the code TKD, serves the twin city of Sekondi-Takoradi in Ghana's Western Region, an area central to the country's oil, gas, and port industries. The airport supports domestic flights connecting Takoradi to Accra, catering heavily to business travelers involved in offshore petroleum operations and maritime trade. Takoradi's harbor and industrial growth have increased demand for reliable air links, and TKD has seen periodic upgrades to accommodate this traffic. The surrounding coastal landscape includes beaches and fishing communities alongside industrial development. TKD functions as a practical gateway for professionals and visitors engaging with Ghana's expanding energy sector along the Gulf of Guinea coastline.
