Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Airport — San Juan, Argentina

Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Airport, identified by the IATA code UAQ, serves San Juan in western Argentina, a province known for viticulture at the foot of the Andes. Named after the 19th-century Argentine president and educator Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, the airport handles domestic flights connecting San Juan to Buenos Aires and other regional hubs. Its single runway accommodates narrow-body jets typical of Argentina's interior air network. UAQ functions as an economic gateway for the wine industry and mining sector that define the surrounding region, and its modest terminal reflects the scale of a provincial capital rather than a major metropolitan center.
