Uruapan - Licenciado y General Ignacio Lopez Rayon International Airport — Uruapan, Mexico

Uruapan International Airport, coded UPN, serves the city of Uruapan in Michoacán, Mexico, a region famed for avocado production that supplies much of the world's supply of the fruit. Despite its international designation, the airport primarily handles domestic flights connecting Uruapan to Mexico City and other national destinations, supporting both business travel tied to agricultural exports and tourism to nearby attractions such as Paricutín volcano and Michoacán's forested highlands. UPN plays an important economic role for a region deeply tied to avocado and other agricultural trade, providing faster connections than the winding mountain roads characteristic of much of Michoacán's rugged terrain.
