Saurimo Airport — Saurimo, Angola

Saurimo Airport serves the city of Saurimo, capital of Lunda Sul province in northeastern Angola, a region historically associated with diamond mining. VHC provides domestic connections to Luanda and other Angolan cities, supporting the diamond industry's logistics needs alongside limited passenger travel for local residents and government officials. The surrounding province holds some of Angola's most significant diamond deposits, and mining companies rely on air transport given the area's underdeveloped road infrastructure. Saurimo's economy remains closely tied to mineral extraction, and VHC functions as an essential link connecting this remote inland region to the rest of the country.
