Guardia Marina Zañartu Airport — Puerto Williams, Chile

Guardia Marina Zanartu Airport, coded WPU, serves Puerto Williams in Chile's far south, widely recognized as one of the southernmost civilian airports in the world. Located on Navarino Island near the Beagle Channel, the airport connects this remote naval and fishing town to Punta Arenas, providing a vital link across the challenging terrain and waters of Chilean Patagonia. Puerto Williams has gained attention as a gateway for Antarctic-adjacent tourism and expeditions, and WPU supports both military logistics, given the Chilean Navy's presence, and a growing trickle of adventure travelers. Its extreme southern location makes it a notable point of interest among aviation enthusiasts.
