Hearst René Fontaine Municipal Airport — Hearst, Canada

Hearst René Fontaine Municipal Airport, coded YHF, serves the town of Hearst in northeastern Ontario, Canada, near the Quebec border. Named after a local mayor and aviation advocate, the airport supports general aviation, forestry patrol, and charter flights connected to the area's timber and lumber industries. YHF's runway accommodates light aircraft, and the facility functions primarily as utilitarian infrastructure rather than a hub for scheduled airline traffic. Given Hearst's remote location along Highway 11, the airport provides an important option for medical transport and business travel, reinforcing its role as a small but necessary piece of aviation infrastructure in Ontario's far north.
