Medicine Hat Regional Airport — Medicine Hat, Canada

Medicine Hat Regional Airport (YXH) serves the city of Medicine Hat in southeastern Alberta, Canada, an area known for natural gas production and prairie agriculture. The airport accommodates general aviation, charter flights, and flight training activity, having seen scheduled commercial service fluctuate over the years as regional carriers adjust route networks across the prairies. Medicine Hat's economy, historically tied to glass manufacturing and energy extraction due to abundant local natural gas, benefits from YXH's support of business aviation and industry-related charter flights. The airport's flat, open surroundings are typical of southern Alberta's plains, offering favorable conditions for flight operations and pilot training throughout much of the year.
