Beaver Creek Airport — Beaver Creek, Canada

Beaver Creek Airport (YXQ) sits near the Yukon-Alaska border, serving the small community of Beaver Creek, Canada's westernmost settlement. The airstrip primarily supports general aviation, border patrol operations, and occasional charter flights rather than scheduled commercial airline service. Beaver Creek grew up around the Alaska Highway, and the airport reflects that frontier character, offering a modest gravel or paved strip used by small aircraft navigating the rugged Yukon wilderness. Pilots flying the historic highway corridor sometimes use YXQ as a refueling or emergency stop given the vast distances between services in this remote subarctic region. Its role remains niche but important for connectivity in one of Canada's most sparsely populated corners.
