North Bay Jack Garland Airport (YYB) serves North Bay, Ontario, a city situated on Lake Nipissing at the gateway to northeastern Ontario. Named after a former local mayor, the airport features an unusually long runway, a legacy of its Cold War-era role as a NORAD air defense base with underground facilities. Today YYB combines civilian passenger service, cargo operations, and continued military use, alongside flight training and general aviation activity.
