José Leonardo Chirinos Airport — Coro, Venezuela

Behind the code CZE is José Leonardo Chirinos Airport, which serves Coro, the historic capital of Falcón state in northwestern Venezuela. The airport is named for José Leonardo Chirinos, who led a notable 1795 uprising against Spanish colonial rule in the Coro region, making the airport's name a tribute to Venezuelan independence history. Coro itself is recognized for its well-preserved colonial architecture and Dutch-influenced trading past, sitting near sand dunes and the Paraguaná Peninsula along the Caribbean coast. CZE mainly handles domestic flights connecting Coro to Caracas and other Venezuelan cities, functioning as the primary air link for a region otherwise reached by lengthy coastal highway travel.
