Huizhou Pingtan Airport — Huizhou (Pingtan), China

HUZ is Huizhou Pingtan Airport, serving the city of Huizhou in Guangdong Province, China, within the densely populated Pearl River Delta region near Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Originally built with military origins, the airport has expanded civilian operations to relieve congestion at nearby major hubs while serving Huizhou's growing manufacturing and tourism economy. Huizhou is known for its lychee cultivation, historical ties to notable Chinese literary figures, and scenic West Lake area. HUZ offers domestic routes connecting to major Chinese cities, positioning it as a secondary but increasingly important gateway within one of China's most economically dynamic regions.
