Liping Airport — Liping, China

HZH identifies Liping Airport, located in Liping County within Guizhou province's Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in southwestern China. The airport primarily serves tourism tied to the region's distinctive Dong ethnic minority culture, including the famous wind-and-rain bridges and drum towers found in villages near Liping. HZH provides a crucial air link for this mountainous, historically hard-to-reach part of Guizhou, cutting travel time compared to the area's winding mountain roads. Domestic routes typically connect Liping to regional centers such as Guiyang and Guangzhou. Beyond tourism, the airport supports local government and business travel in a county where rugged terrain has long limited transportation infrastructure, making HZH an important development tool for the region.
