Jining Da'an Airport — Jining, China

JNG identifies Jining Da'an Airport, serving Jining in China's Shandong province, a city historically significant along the ancient Grand Canal and known for its agricultural and cultural heritage, including proximity to Confucius's hometown of Qufu. The airport supports domestic flights linking Jining to major Chinese hubs, aiding regional trade, tourism to nearby historical sites, and coal-related industries common to Shandong. JNG was developed as part of China's extensive regional airport expansion to improve connectivity for mid-sized inland cities, giving Jining faster access to national and provincial capitals than rail alone previously allowed.
