Kanpur Airport — Kanpur, India

Kanpur Airport serves the large industrial city of Kanpur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, on the Ganges plain in the north of the country. At an elevation of about 410 feet, it sits in one of India's most densely populated regions, where Kanpur has long been a major manufacturing and commercial center. The airport gives the city scheduled air links that connect it into India's fast-growing domestic network, complementing the extensive rail and road routes that crisscross Uttar Pradesh. For a city of Kanpur's size and economic weight, the KNU code marks an increasingly relevant gateway as air travel continues to expand across northern India.
