RAFO Masirah — Masirah, Oman

RAFO Masirah is an airbase located on Masirah Island off the coast of Oman, operated by the Royal Air Force of Oman as a key military installation in the Arabian Sea region. MSH has historically served strategic military purposes, including use by British and later Omani forces due to the island's position along important maritime and air routes. While primarily a defense facility, MSH also accommodates limited civil aviation activity, supporting the small population living on Masirah Island who otherwise depend on boat transport to the mainland. The island itself is known for turtle nesting beaches and a rugged, remote coastal landscape. Access to MSH for civilian purposes is generally restricted given its active military function.
