Vladikavkaz Beslan International Airport — Beslan, Russia

Vladikavkaz Beslan International Airport, coded OGZ, serves Vladikavkaz, the capital of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in southern Russia, near the Caucasus Mountains. Located close to the town of Beslan, the airport connects this strategically important region to Moscow and other major Russian cities. Vladikavkaz itself has a layered history shaped by its position at the crossroads of Russian, Ossetian, and broader Caucasus cultures, and the region gained tragic international attention due to the 2004 Beslan school hostage crisis. OGZ handles domestic passenger traffic and serves as a gateway for travelers heading into the scenic Caucasus mountain range for tourism, mountaineering, and cultural exploration. The airport remains a key transportation link for this ethnically diverse and geopolitically sensitive corner of Russia.
