Oiapoque Airport — Oiapoque, Brazil

Oiapoque Airport (OYK) serves Oiapoque, a town in the Brazilian state of Amapá located directly on the border with French Guiana, at the northernmost edge of Brazil along the Oiapoque River. The airport plays an important role connecting this remote frontier town to Macapá and other parts of Amapá, given the region's dense Amazonian rainforest and limited road infrastructure, particularly during the rainy season when overland routes can become impassable. Oiapoque also serves as a crossing point for travelers moving between Brazil and French Guiana, adding a cross-border dimension to the airport's role beyond purely domestic Brazilian air travel.
