Port-de-Paix Airport — Port-de-Paix, Haiti

PAX is Port-de-Paix Airport, serving the coastal town of Port-de-Paix in northwestern Haiti. The airport is a small, basic facility that provides limited domestic air connections, which are particularly important given Haiti's often difficult road infrastructure and mountainous terrain that can make overland travel slow and unreliable. Port-de-Paix is a historically significant port city with ties to Haiti's colonial and independence history. PAX typically handles small aircraft and charter flights rather than large commercial jets, and service levels can be inconsistent due to Haiti's broader economic and infrastructure challenges. The airport remains a vital, if modest, link for the surrounding Nord-Ouest department.
