Plettenberg Bay Airport — Plettenberg Bay, South Africa

Plettenberg Bay Airport (PBZ) serves the popular coastal resort town of Plettenberg Bay along South Africa's Garden Route in the Western Cape. Known for its beaches, whale watching, and proximity to the Tsitsikamma forests, Plettenberg Bay attracts significant tourism, and PBZ offers a convenient alternative to driving the long coastal highway from Cape Town or George. The airport is small, with general aviation and light charter traffic dominating, along with seasonal scheduled flights during peak holiday periods. Its short runway sits near the ocean, giving arriving passengers scenic views on approach. PBZ mainly supports leisure travelers, private pilots, and occasional business visitors rather than commercial airline hubs.
