Puerto Deseado Airport — Puerto Deseado, Argentina

Puerto Deseado Airport, coded PUD, serves the coastal Patagonian town of Puerto Deseado in Argentina's Santa Cruz province, situated along the estuary of the Deseado River on the South Atlantic coast. The airport supports a region prized for penguin colonies, marine wildlife, and access to the Ría Deseado nature reserve, making it a modest but useful entry point for Patagonian eco-tourism. PUD typically sees domestic flights connecting to larger Argentine hubs, serving both tourists and the local fishing and oil-related industries active along this stretch of coastline. Harsh, windy Patagonian weather is a regular operational factor for flights using PUD, as it is throughout this remote southern region.
