Royan-Médis Airport — Royan/Médis, France

Royan-Médis Airport serves the seaside resort town of Royan on France's Atlantic coast, near the mouth of the Gironde estuary in the Charente-Maritime department. RYN primarily supports general aviation, flight training, and seasonal charter or leisure flights tied to Royan's summer tourism economy, drawing visitors to its beaches, art deco architecture, and coastal scenery. The airport does not typically offer year-round scheduled airline service, instead seeing increased activity during the warmer months when tourists flock to this Atlantic seaside destination. Royan-Médis reflects a common pattern among French regional airports serving coastal resort towns with strongly seasonal demand.
