Shuozhou Zirun Airport — Shuozhou, China

Shuozhou Zirun Airport, coded SZH, is located in Shanxi province, China, serving the coal-mining city of Shuozhou in the country's north. The airport supports domestic flights connecting Shuozhou to major Chinese cities, facilitating business travel tied to the region's substantial coal and energy industries. Shanxi province is one of China's leading coal-producing regions, and Shuozhou's economy is heavily dependent on mining and related heavy industry, making reliable air transport important for corporate and government travel. SZH features a modern terminal and runway built to accommodate growing regional demand as China continues expanding domestic aviation infrastructure into secondary industrial cities. The airport has helped reduce Shuozhou's reliance on lengthy overland travel to larger hubs like Taiyuan.
