Tahoua Airport — Tahoua, Niger

Tahoua Airport serves the city of Tahoua in west-central Niger, a region historically significant as a crossroads for Tuareg and Hausa communities in the Sahel. THZ provides essential domestic air connectivity in a country where road infrastructure can be limited and long distances separate major population centers. The airport supports government, humanitarian, and limited commercial travel, given Niger's reliance on air transport for reaching remote administrative regions. Tahoua itself serves as an important trading center for livestock and agricultural goods produced in the surrounding semi-arid landscape. With modest infrastructure typical of Sahelian regional airports, THZ remains a vital link connecting this part of Niger to the capital, Niamey, and other domestic destinations.
