Umaru Musa Yar'adua Airport — Katsina, Nigeria

Umaru Musa Yar'adua Airport, coded DKA, serves Katsina, a historic city in northern Nigeria near the border with Niger. Named after the former Nigerian president who hailed from Katsina State, the airport provides domestic air links connecting the region to Lagos, Abuja, and other Nigerian cities. Katsina has long been a center of Hausa culture, Islamic scholarship, and trans-Saharan trade history, and the airport supports government, business, and religious travel for the state capital. As a relatively small regional airport, DKA handles limited flight frequency compared to Nigeria's major international gateways, but it remains an important transport link for a northern state that depends heavily on air travel given the distances involved.
