Tainan International Airport / Tainan Air Base — Tainan (Rende), Taiwan

TNN occupies a joint civil-military airfield in Tainan's Rende District, serving Taiwan's oldest city and former capital under both Dutch colonial rule and the early Qing dynasty. Dutch traders built Fort Zeelandia on the nearby coast in the seventeenth century, and the city that grew up around it still retains a density of historic temples, city gates, and the well-preserved Anping Fort; the airport offers convenient access for travelers who might otherwise land in Kaohsiung or Taipei. Scheduled service concentrates on domestic links to Taipei, Kinmen, and other island destinations, with occasional international flights added depending on cross-strait relations. Because Tainan shares runway infrastructure with the Republic of China Air Force, civilian operations run alongside fighter squadrons based at the same field, an arrangement common at several of Taiwan's regional airports. The city's street food, including dishes like danzai noodles and coffin bread, adds another draw for arriving visitors.
