Antonio Rivera Rodriguez Airport — Vieques, Puerto Rico

Antonio Rivera Rodriguez Airport serves the island of Vieques, part of the Puerto Rico archipelago, providing a critical air link between Vieques and the Puerto Rican mainland. VQS supports small regional aircraft carrying passengers who rely on air travel given the limited and time-consuming ferry alternatives connecting the island to Ceiba and San Juan. The airport plays a significant role in Vieques's tourism economy, which has grown around the island's pristine beaches and bioluminescent bay, a major draw for visitors seeking a quieter alternative to mainland Puerto Rico's more developed coastal areas. Facilities remain modest, consistent with the island's small population.
