Visakhapatnam International Airport — Visakhapatnam, India

Visakhapatnam International Airport, which carries the code VTZ, serves the port city of Visakhapatnam, often called Vizag, on India's eastern coast along the Bay of Bengal in Andhra Pradesh. The airport operates as a civil enclave alongside a naval air station, reflecting the city's long-standing importance as a base for the Indian Navy as well as a hub for shipbuilding and steel production. VTZ has seen steady growth in passenger numbers as Visakhapatnam has expanded into a center for information technology and pharmaceuticals alongside its traditional port and heavy-industry economy. The airport ranks among the busier facilities in Andhra Pradesh, connecting the city to major Indian metros including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad, along with a limited number of international routes. Nearby beaches and Eastern Ghats hill country also draw leisure travelers through VTZ.
