Lilabari North Lakhimpur Airport — Lilabari, India

IXI represents Lilabari Airport, which serves North Lakhimpur in the Lakhimpur district of Assam, India. Positioned in the upper Brahmaputra valley, the airport provides an important air link for the surrounding agricultural districts of Assam and neighboring Arunachal Pradesh, where road travel through hilly and flood-prone terrain can be slow. IXI operates domestic flights to Kolkata, Guwahati, and other regional hubs, playing a growing role under India's UDAN regional connectivity scheme aimed at improving access to underserved areas. The airport supports both local trade, including tea and agricultural produce, and travelers heading toward eastern Arunachal Pradesh's remote districts that lack alternative fast transport options.
