Tezpur Airport — , India

Tezpur Airport, also called Salonibari Airport, serves the historic town of Tezpur in Assam, India. TEZ functions as a joint civil-military facility, sharing infrastructure with the Indian Air Force, which maintains a significant presence at the site given the region's strategic position near the northeastern frontier. The airport connects Tezpur to Kolkata and other regional hubs, supporting tourism to nearby attractions including tea gardens, wildlife sanctuaries, and the Kaziranga National Park corridor. Modest passenger volumes reflect the airport's regional scope, though ongoing terminal upgrades aim to accommodate growing demand. Surrounded by the Brahmaputra River valley's lush landscape, TEZ plays an important role in linking Assam's interior to broader national air travel networks.
