Nanchang Changbei International Airport — Nanchang, China

KHN serves Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi province in southeastern China and a city that holds a central place in Communist Party history as the site of the 1927 uprising that marked the founding of what became the People's Liberation Army, an event still commemorated each August. Located north of the city center, the airport connects Nanchang to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other major Chinese hubs, supporting a regional economy built around electronics manufacturing and aviation-parts production. Jiangxi's broader tourism draws, including the misty peaks of Lushan, a mountain resort favored by earlier Chinese leaders, and Poyang Lake, the country's largest freshwater lake and a major wintering ground for migratory birds, funnel a portion of their visitors through KHN. The terminal has expanded in stages to keep pace with rising domestic travel demand, reflecting Nanchang's steady growth as a secondary industrial and logistics center within inland China.
