Yichun Mingyueshan Airport — Yichun, China

YIC designates Yichun Mingyueshan Airport, located in Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China. Named after the nearby Mingyue Mountain, the airport serves the city of Yichun, a region known for its extensive forests and cool summer climate that attracts domestic tourists seeking relief from southern heat. Yichun Mingyueshan primarily handles regional flights connecting the city to major hubs such as Harbin and Beijing, supporting both business travel and the growing tourism sector centered on forestry parks and ski resorts. Since opening, the airport has helped reduce the isolation of this forested corner of China, shortening what were once long overland journeys. Seasonal demand fluctuates with tourism patterns tied to the surrounding natural landscape.
