Crotone Sant'Anna Pythagoras Airport — Isola di Capo Rizzuto (KR), Italy

Crotone Airport, formally named for Sant'Anna and coded CRV, serves a city on Calabria's Ionian coast that traces its lineage back to the ancient Greek colony of Kroton, once home to the mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras. That heritage lends the airport its fuller name, tying modern air travel to a settlement over two and a half thousand years old. Seasonal and charter flights bring visitors toward Calabria's beaches and archaeological sites, supplementing a smaller core of year-round domestic connections. The surrounding countryside mixes citrus groves and coastal tourism development, and the airport remains a modest but locally vital piece of southern Italy's regional aviation network.
