Wenzhou Longwan International Airport — Wenzhou (Longwan), China

Wenzhou Longwan International Airport, coded WNZ, sits in the Longwan district on the eastern edge of Wenzhou, a coastal manufacturing hub in Zhejiang province famed for shoemaking, textiles and a famously entrepreneurial private economy. Opened in 1990 and substantially rebuilt with a new terminal completed around 2019, the airport has grown into one of Zhejiang's busier gateways outside Hangzhou and Ningbo, handling both domestic trunk routes to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and a modest slate of international and regional links reaching Taiwan, Hong Kong and parts of Southeast Asia. WNZ primarily serves business travelers connected to Wenzhou's export industries alongside the large diaspora of Wenzhounese living overseas, who generate steady demand for flights home during Lunar New Year and other holidays. The single runway handles narrow-body jets almost exclusively, though cargo volumes tied to the local footwear and machinery trade continue to expand.
