Yiwu Airport — Yiwu/Jinhua, China

Yiwu Airport, identified by the code YIW, serves the city of Yiwu in Zhejiang province's Jinhua prefecture, a place better known for commerce than scenery. Yiwu hosts the world's largest wholesale market for small commodities, a sprawling complex trading everything from buttons and jewelry to toys and stationery, drawing merchants from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia year-round. The airport mainly handles domestic connections to major Chinese cities, supplemented by international routes catering to the buyers and exporters who visit for the trade fairs. Yiwu's commercial prominence has also made it a rail freight node, with cargo trains linking the city to European destinations. Terminal upgrades in recent years reflect the local government's push to match air access with the city's outsized role in global small-goods trade.
