Almería Airport — Almería, Spain

Almería Airport serves the city of Almería in Andalusia, in the far southeast of Spain on the Mediterranean coast. At an elevation of about 70 feet, it has a single asphalt runway near 10,499 feet, receiving both scheduled and holiday charter traffic. Almería sits in a strikingly arid region, its desert-like landscapes famous as a filming location for many Westerns and other productions. The coast and the nearby Cabo de Gata natural park draw visitors, and the airport handles seasonal tourism alongside regional links. The LEI code identifies this field, the gateway to the sunny, dry corner of southeastern Andalusia around Almería.
